1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites can store in your browser. Similar technologies include localStorage, sessionStorage, and extension storage. This page covers how FxPeek uses them.
2. Types of cookies (general)
| Type | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Essential / functional | Remember settings or keep a feature working |
| Analytics | Understand aggregate traffic (if enabled) |
| Advertising / marketing | Track users across sites for ads |
3. What FxPeek uses today
We do not use advertising or marketing cookies on getfxpeek.com at this time.
3.1 Website localStorage
Standalone tools store preferences (currency choices, history, and — after Pro unlock — a rates access token) in localStorage in your browser. That is not an HTTP cookie, but it is similar local storage you can clear yourself.
3.2 Essential cookies
If our host or framework sets a strictly necessary cookie (for example for security or basic site operation), it is limited to that purpose. We will update this page if we introduce analytics or marketing cookies.
3.3 Extension storage
The FxPeek extension keeps settings and cached rates using the browser’s extension storage APIs on your device. It does not inject third-party advertising cookies into merchant sites. Feedback links in the extension open the Featurebase portal in a new tab; the extension does not load the Featurebase SDK.
3.4 Featurebase (website)
getfxpeek.com loads the Featurebase SDK so visitors can leave feedback. Featurebase may set cookies or local storage on its domains (and related functional storage on ours) so the widget and public board work. These are not advertising cookies. See Featurebase’s own notices for details.
4. How to manage or clear data
- Clear site data for getfxpeek.com in your browser settings (removes localStorage and any cookies for that origin). Featurebase storage may also live on featurebase.app / fxpeek.featurebase.app — clear those origins separately if you want those gone too.
- Remove or reset the extension, or clear extension storage via browser developer tools / extension management, depending on your browser.
5. More privacy detail
For what we collect and do not collect, see the Privacy Policy.
